55 AutoMill HP ™ P R O D U C T M A N U A L EN Appendix F – Maintenance Inspection Guide AutoMill HP Machine Inspection Guide and Maintenance Log Date _______/_______/_______ EVERY SHIFT / 8 HOURS Mon Tue Wed Thur Fri Sat Sun Clean saw dust off the machine. Check perimeter safety cable for proper operation. Check all light bulbs in operators control panel. Replace as required. Check holddowns and material conveyors for square. Check saw blades for sharpness. Check the carbide cutting edge for loose, chipped, or missing tips. If necessary use a solvent such as LubStamp M33 on the blades to remove pitch buildup (see section 8.1 for blade removal). WEEKLY Spray Bio Saw Guide SHP lubricant (or equivalent) on: All linear bearing rails Check filter / regulator: (see warnings section 9.2) Drain water separator if necessary Lumber stop guide rails Check high pressure is set at 90 psi Holddown up/down guide rails Check low pressure is set at 20 psi ACME threads Check lubricator oil level is ¼ to ¾ full Check incline and refuse belt for alignment and damage (see section 8.8 for adjustment procedure). Check for broken, loose, or missing bolts and set screws on saw blades and mandrels (Refer to 8.1 for proper checking procedures). Lubricate the material conveyor and holddown chains with Bio Saw Guide SHP. Liberally spray the top and sides of the chain using a pump type sprayer. Check the material conveyor and holddown chains for proper tension (see section 8.4 and 8.5 for procedure). Tighten electrical connections in the main panel (Lock out / Tag Out). Check filter on Air Conditioning Unit. MONTHLY Tighten ALL set screws in ALL sprockets, bearings, and couplers. Hand tighten ALL servo cables. QUARTERLY Inspect brake pucks for wear, replace if necessary (see 8.17 for procedure). Apply two pumps of grease (NLGI Grade No. 2) to fittings: LOCATION TOTAL WHERE Angle 2, 4, and 5 In/Out Linear Bearings 6 2 on each slide Holddown In/Out Slide 4 2 on each slide Material conveyor In/Out Shafts 8 2 on each shaft, 2 on each side Carriage Drive Shafts 4 4 bearings Material Conveyor (outfeed side) 4 2 on each conveyor Holddown (outfeed side) 4 2 on each hold-down Material Conveyor Drive Plate (fixed side) 4 Material Conveyor Drive Plate (carriage side) 4 Incline and Refuse bearings 8 2 on each end Up & Down Linear slides (heads 1, 3, & 5, Holddown Up/Dn) 16 3 or 4 on each slide YEARLY Grease motor bearings. Apply 1 pump of grease (NLGI Grade No. 2) to the grease fittings on each motor. Tighten electrical connections in the main panel (Lock out / Tag Out).
