28 AutoMill HP ™ P R O D U C T M A N U A L EN If the measured value for H2 or H3 is not within 1/32 inch of the commanded value follow Step 10 19. NOTE Head 1 and Head 3 are calibrated separately. It is not necessary to calibrate a Head if the measured value matches the commanded value. Apply the following steps ONLY to the Head that is not in calibration. Step 10. Click Calibration on the Main Menu Toolbar. Step 11. Click Head 1 Up/Dn on the Calibration Menu. (If Head 1 is in calibration select Head 3 Up/Dn) Step 12. Click Move To on the Axis Calibration Screen. The Command Value Screen will open. Step 13. Using the Blade Height Calibration Table in Appendix A, determine the new calibration value. Step 14. Click the command value box and enter the new calibration value (from the Blade Height Calibration Table) using the keypad. Step 15. Click Enter. Step 16. Click START MOVE on the Command Value Screen. Step 17. Click DONE on the Command Value Screen. Step 18. Click Calibrate on the Axis Calibration Screen. Step 19. Re-cut the board used for Steps 1 to 9, but reduce the OA Len by 3 inches. Step 20. Perform Steps 10 to 19 for Head 3 Up/Dn. Head 1,3 Height is now calibrated. 4.4.3. Head 1,3 Height Calibration Step 1. Turn the Key Switch to SETUP. Step 2. Select SEMI on the Main Menu. Step 3. On the Board Select Menu setup the cut shown in Figure 44. Step 4. Click SETUP on the Board Select Menu. Step 5. Click SETUP on the Run Menu. Step 6. Wait for the saw to move into position and turn the Key Switch to RUN. Step 7. Click AutoStart on the Run Menu. Step 8. Feed one board through the saw. Step 9. Measure the distance from the bottom of the board to the angle using a carpenter's square (H2 and H3 on Figure 44). NOTE Always make the measurement from the bottom of the board up to the angle.
