Lower the Left Hold-down until the springs are compressed 1/8 inches across the entire length. Step 15. Click Calibrate to set the Left Hold-down position Step 16. Repeat Step 13 and 14 for the Right Hold- down. Step 17. Remove the boards from the material conveyor. 4.4.6. Hold-down Calibration Step 1. Check that the Hold-downs are level (Section 5.4). ! CAUTION If it is determined that the Hold-downs are not level follow the procedure in Section 5.4. Contact Alpine Technical Support with any questions. If the Hold-down is level proceed with the following steps to complete the calibration process. Step 2. Turn the Key Switch to SETUP (Section 2.3). Step 3. Select SEMI on the Main Menu. Step 4. On the Board Select Menu setup a cut as shown in Figure 49. Click SETUP on the Run Menu. Step 7. Click Calibration on the Main Menu Toolbar. Step 8. Click Left HD Up/Dn. Step 9. Raise the Left Hold-down 8 inches using the jog function (Figure 50). Step 10. Using the drop down box, Select Right HD Up/Dn (Figure 50) Step 11. Raise the Right Hold-down 8 inches using the jog function (Figure 50).
