Troubleshooting C O N D I T I O N C A U S E C H E C K C O R R E C T I O N 7.1 Incorrect Homing/ Cannot Home the Machine No power The Green LED which indicates that the power is on should be illuminated. Press the button labeled "Power On". Axis with fault Call Alpine Equipment Technical Support. Fault codes must be found using Alpine Equipment Technical Support troubleshooting tools in order to properly resolve this issue. Axis is blocked Visually inspect the axis for blockage. Remove blockage and restart homing process. 7.2 Saw will not display "AutoStart" button One or more of the automated axes did not reach its commanded setup point Compare the current and destination values in the Run Screen. Press the Cancel button and then the Setup button again. Manually move axis that is not in position. Go into the calibration menu and touch the axis button that is not positioned (red light). Try to job the axis to verify that it will operate. If it doesn't move, make sure the axis enables on the Sys Status Screen (Section 3.7). If it does move, try to setup the piece If the axis moved, and it will still not setup, call Alpine Equipment Technical Support for further assistance. 7.3 Saw will not set-up in Auto Mode Corrupt TRS File Check to see if a different job file will setup on the saw. Create a new TRS file. 7.4 Material conveyor will not start Saw is not getting an input from one of the Saw Blade Motors Using the electrical schematic check for +24VDC out of terminal 14 on the blade contactor. Call Alpine Equipment Technical Support for help resolving this issue. 7.5 Blade brakes don't stop the blades Air Pressure to Solenoid Valve Remove both ends of the airline that connect theFilter/Regulator to theSolenoid valve. Blow air through the line to verify free air movement through the solenoid. If there is a leak, replace the air lines. Malfunctioning solenoid valve Disconnect the airline from the outlet of the solenoid valve. Start one of the blades (4.1.1) and then depress the E-Stop. If the solenoid valve is working properly, air should be coming out of the solenoid valve. If no air is detected replace the valve. Worn Brake Pucks Visually inspect thickness. Replace the brake pucks (Section 5.15). Stuck Caliper Check the operation of the brake caliper. Remove the caliper from the machine, clean any debris and check the operation manually If the pistons do not actuate replace the caliper.
