42 AutoMill HP ™ P R O D U C T M A N U A L EN 5.16. Adjusting the Filter Regulator ! CAUTION Wear safety glasses. 1. Drain if necessary by pushing the drain valve stem at the bottom of the filter to drain the system (. ! CAUTION DO NOT LET THE WATER SEPARATOR COMPLETELY FILL WITH WATER! This will contaminate the oil and may cause corrosion in the system that will lead to potential system failure. 2. Check that the high pressure is set at 90 psi, and the low pressure is set at 20 psi (Figure 75). 3. Check the lubricator oil level. If the lubricator is less than ¼ full, disconnect the air supply and remove the fill plug (Figure 75). Figure 74- Pressure Gauge High Pressure Adjust Oil Flow Control Valve Pressure Gauge Water Separator Oiler Low Pressure Adjust Drain Inlet Sight Gauge Oil Fill Plug Figure 75 ! WARNING Do not remove the fill plug with air pressure on the machine, as serious injury could result. 4. Fill the lubricator with air tool oil until the bowl is ¾ full, then replace the fill plug and reconnect the air. NOTE Use petroleum-based oils with oxidation inhibitors, an aniline point between 180°F and 220°F, and ISO 32 or lighter viscosity. Oils with phosphate-type additives, such as zinc dithiophosphate, must be avoided because they can harm polyurethane valve components. We recommend: ARO Lubricative Oil (Ingersoll-Rand p/n: 29665) or Lubriplate Air Tool Lubricant (Lubriplate p/n: L0713). ADJUSTING THE HORIZONTAL DISTANCE 1. Remove the blade mandrel set screws. 2. Using a soft-faced mallet, gently tap the saw blade directly over the mandrel until the measurement is correct (Figure 72). 3. Replace set screws with NEW nylon-patch set screws (APN 1354). ! WARNING DO NOT REMOVE THE SAFETY ROLL PIN IN THE MANDREL! If this pin needs to be removed or is damaged, replace it with a NEW pin (APN 6014). This pin is a fail safe to retain the blade in case of set screw failure and MUST be in place. NEVER operate the saw if this pin is not in place. Very serious injury or death could occur if a running saw blade were to come off the motor shaft. 5.15. Replacing Air Brake Pucks 1. Press the E-Stop button on the operator console 2. Remove air pressure from the machine. 3. Remove mounting bolts (Figure 74). 4. Remove the retaining screws and remove the pucks (Figure 74). Brake Puck Mounting Bracket Bushings Bushings Figure 74 5. Install new pucks and tighten screws. 6. Inspect mounting bracket for wear around bushings, replace if needed. 7. Remount the brake to the motor.
