Tighten the adjustment bolt on the side where the belt is closest to the side rail. Turn the bolt ½-turn and let the incline run for 5 minutes to equalize the tracking. If the belt needs further adjustment, tighten the adjustment bolt in ½-turn increments (Figure 65). 4. Tighten the adjustment bolt jam nuts and the bearing attachment bolts. 5.9. Replacing the Incline Belt The incline belt will need to be replaced when it begins to look warn or if it has stretched too far to be properly tensioned. 1. Loosen the lower bearing bolts one full turn. 2. Loosen the adjustment bolt jam nuts (one on each side). 3. Loosen both tracking adjustment bolts an equal number of turns. 4. Remove and replace the belt. Be sure to secure both ends of the alligator clip pin. 5. Tighten the tension bolts until the middle of the belt is approximately 12" from the bottom of the incline frame. 12 inches Figure 66 6. Tighten the jam nuts and the bearing bolts. 7. Turn the incline on and verify the belt tracking. Adjust as required (see Section 5.8). Side to Side Adjustment Track Cam Follower Cart Frame Bearing Figure 64 5. Standing at the rear of the machine, loosen the left inside and right outside carriage guide bearing adjustment screws. Tighten the left outside and right inside carriage guide bearing adjustment screws until the measurements are equal. Tighten the left inside and right outside carriage guide bearing adjustment screws until there is 0.020" gap between the guide bearing and the track. Tighten all four carriage guide-bearing nuts and adjustment screw jam nuts. 6. If the carriage drive shaft was lowered in Steps 4 and 5, reinstall it. Be sure that the drive shaft spur gears are fully meshed with the rack gear. Tighten all of the carriage drive shaft bearing bolts. 7. Tighten the left-hand Material Conveyor guide bearing adjustment screws leaving a 0.020" gap between the guide bearings and the guide rail. Tighten the Material Conveyor guide bearing nuts and the adjustment screw jam nuts. 8. Recheck the carriage to verify that it is square. Repeat the procedure if necessary to achieve the 1/16" tolerance. 9. Recalibrate the Length (Section 4.4.9). 5.8. Adjusting the Waste Belt Tracking A properly adjusted belt will track in the center of the refuse pan. The belt should be running to perform this procedure. 1. Loosen the four lower bearing attachment bolts (two on each bearing). 2. Loosen both tracking adjustment bolt jam nuts (one over each bearing; Figure 65).
