17 FloorMaster P R O D U C T M A N U A L EN Step 4 – Use the selector switch located on the main electrical enclosure to choose between single or group operation modes. Step 5 – Lay in bottom and top chords. The OPEN/ CLOSE toggle switch on the pendant can be used to move the clamping rail down to a position approximately 1" above the truss height that will help hold the top chords in place. The center position on the toggle switch will hold the position. Step 6 – Lay the webs and verticals in as required by the design. Step 7 – Now set the end stops to the truss. This will be the final location of the end stops which can be used for the complete run of like trusses. Figure 22 – The End Stop at Its Final Location Step 8 – Using a tape measure, maintain the respective panel points and/or chase openings of the components to assure that the height of the truss is constant and at the proper dimension. Chase openings will vary with the accuracy of the cuts on the webs. The important factor is to fix the openings to produce a consistent product with accurate height and tight joints. Step 9 – Once the truss components are located, actuate the clamping rail fully by turning the switch on the infeed pendant to the "close" position. Then inspect the joints to assure that the components are well fitted with no deflection (bowing) on the top chord NOTE If the joints are not tight, and there is no deflection in the top chord, adjust the pressure regulator up. If joints are tight and top chord is deflected, adjust the pressure regulator down. Refer to Section 4.6. for regulator adjustment. 3. Operation ! CAUTION All personnel must be trained before operating the FloorMaster. 3.1. Recommended Production Procedures Step 1 – Check that the build area is clear of any obstacles, debris and Alpine WAVE Plate connectors. Step 2 – Install the end stops by fastening them to the bottom chord rail (with ½" bolts supplied) at the end locations of the truss or trusses being fabricated. NOTE Two sizes of end stops are provided with the table system. The shorter end stop is used on trusses up to 16" (0.4m) in depth. The longer end stop is used for trusses from 16" to 24" (0.4m to 0.6m) in depth. Step 3 – Adjust the end stops height with the adjustment bolts located on the top surface of the stop. The height of the stops should be close to the height of the truss being fabricated. ! CAUTION Do not exceed the height of truss. Figure 20 – The Short End Stop Figure 21 – The Long End Stop
