Gantry head will not start Check for main power on Turn on the main power switch. Check for power at the main power switch Main power distribution cabinet contains high voltage. Please call a licensed electrician for service Check for tripped circuit breaker or overload Reset circuit breaker or overload. Check for short circuit or over amperage if condition persists Faulty limit switch Check limit switch arms for "click" when safety bar is raised, adjust arm as needed to hear click when raising or lowering safety bar Verify that all power to the machine has been turned off following OSHA- approved lockout/tagout procedures. Please call a licensed electrician for service Check for loose wires inside limit switch Verify that all power to the machine has been turned off following OSHA- approved lockout/tagout procedures. Please call a licensed electrician for service Replace limit switch Faulty coil on motor starter Check for voltage at motor starter coil contacts Main power distribution cabinet contains high voltage. Please call a licensed electrician for service Faulty soft start unit Replace soft start unit Verify that all power to the machine has been turned off following OSHA- approved lockout/tagout procedures. Please call a licensed electrician for service Safety scanner has been tripped Check for obstructions in front of both scanners, clear the obstruction, and reset the scanner system (Section 3) Safety scanner display unit has malfunctioned See Section 6.8 for reading the scanner error code See Section 6.8 for scanner error code condition 6.2. Gantry head runs in only one direction Malfunctioning phase control coils Check for voltage at gantry motor starter coil contacts Main power distribution cabinet contains high voltage. Please call a licensed electrician for service Faulty limit switch Check limit switch arms for "click" when safety bar is raised, adjust arm as needed to hear click when raising or lowering safety bar Verify that all power to the machine has been turned off following OSHA- approved lockout/tagout procedures. Please call a licensed electrician for service Check for bad contacts or loose wires 6.3. Gantry travels further than 12 inches when stopping Check gantry chain for proper tension (Section 5.2) Tension as necessary (Section 5.2) Verify that all power to the machine has been turned off following OSHA- approved lockout/tagout procedures Brake pads out of adjustment or worn Adjust brakes or replace brake pads Call Alpine Technical Support 6.4. Connector plates improperly seated Improper clearance between roller and table top Check for 3-15/16" spacing between roller and table top. Adjust roller height. (Section 4.3) Verify that all power to the machine has been turned off following OSHA- approved lockout/tagout procedures Lumber thickness variation Check lumber thickness for proper dimension Load runner wheels out of adjustment or worn (Section 5.2) Readjust or replace as needed (Section 5.2) ! WARNING Electricity can kill. Prior to performing any work on the FloorMaster, verify that all power to the machine has been turned off following OSHA-approved lockout/tagout procedures (OSHA REGULATION 29 CFR 1910.147). ! WARNING For electrical problems, a qualified electrician needs to be contacted to identify the source of the problem and correct it. Failure to follow these precautions could result in a serious injury or fatality.
