With the machine turned off off following OSHA- approved lockout/tagout procedures, liberally apply chain lube to the drive chains. 5.2.3. Inspect track to see that there is no grease build-up. 5.2.4. Check load runners. They should track along the bottom rail as shown in the picture below (Figure 40). If they exhibit gouging or excessive wear, check the load runner alignment and adjust as necessary by loosening the rack bolts. Also check that all the load runners and rack bolts are tight Figure 40 – The Load Runners And The Rack Bolts 5. Maintenance 5.1. Daily Maintenance ! WARNING Electricity can kill. Prior to performing any work on the FloorMaster, verify that all power to the machine has been turned off following OSHA-approved lockout/tagout procedures (OSHA REGULATION 29 CFR 1910.147). 5.1.1. Check the proper operation of the gantry head travel limit switches and safety bars. This is tested by tripping the red safety bar on the gantry head in the direction the gantry head is moving. Make sure to test both directions. ! WARNING No one should be standing on the table while running the test. The bar should be tripped by standing off the table to the side of the gantry. ! CAUTION The active safely bar is the one on the moving side of the gantry. 5.1.2. Clean under the gantry head track. Collect any nails, connector plates, etc. 5.1.3. Drain water from air filter unit. 5.1.4. Clean safety scanners lenses. Dust and other pollution can stick to the window lenses of the scanner heads, causing them to not function correctly. When this occurs, use a microfiber cloth and a mild detergent that will not corrode polycarbonate, and wipe the pollution off the window. Take care not to scratch the window in the process of cleaning it. If the window becomes scratched, the scanner must be replaced. 5.2. Monthly Maintenance ! WARNING Electricity can kill. Prior to performing any work on the FloorMaster, verify that all power to the machine has been turned off following OSHA-approved lockout/tagout procedures (OSHA REGULATION 29 CFR 1910.147). 5.2.1. Check the drive chain tension. Sag should be 3/8" (9.5mm) or less; loosen or tighten motor base studs to adjust the chain tension (Section 4.1).
