LOAD LUMBER – Touching this icon will start the load lumber sequence, the gripper jaw extends, the clamp board jaw opens, the livedeck chain will start advancing the lumber to the flat chain. 16. REJECT LUMBER – Touching this icon will start the reject lumber sequence and will eject lumber out of the machine. 17. SORT CONVEYOR – Controls sort conveyor to front (Short Piece) or to back (Waste). 18. INFEED CONVEYOR – Controls the infeed conveyor. 19. OUTFEED CONVEYOR – Controls the outfeed conveyors. 20. WASTE CONVEYOR – Controls the waste conveyor off or on. 21. SAW MOTOR – Controls the saw motor off or on. 22. EXIT – Touch this button when you need to close this screen and move to other operations. 23. HOME SYSTEM – Will send all axes to home position. 24. ENABLE/DISABLE CUTTING – Allows you to ENABLE/DISABLE cutting. 25. ENABLE/DISABLE DRIVES – Allows you to ENABLE/DISABLE all drives. 26. REBOOT CONTROLLER – Allows you to reboot controller. 27. SYSTEM PARAMETERS – Allows you to access system speed parameters. 10. CAL Functions – Each of these buttons brings up a message like this: ! CAUTION Be very careful when using these functions. You can cause serious cutting and operational problems or damage to the saw if calibration is not performed correctly. You must make certain that the axis is at the stated position before touching OK. Refer to the Calibration Section. Figure 27 11. MOVE COMMANDS – These buttons function similar to the jog commands, except that these allow you to input an exact distance/ location in which to move a specific axis. This allows for more exact positioning of some axes—but there is no bounds-checking—so be careful that you don't move an axis into a position that will cause a wreck or a crash.
