72 ALS 4.0 XE P R O D U C T M A N U A L EN 7.1 System Diagnostics and Troubleshooting This section will show how to diagnose, and trouble shoot when there is a fault in the machine operation. Touching icon 8 from the main screen will open the Manual Screen, from this screen the operator can view the status of all the machine components, Axes drives and output of the machine. In the Manual Screen the areas marked #3 show the status of the axis drives, if any of the axis has a red cross the operator can touch icon #13 (Error Log) to see the machine errors that was generated specific to the axis at fault. ERROR LOG (6) – Click or Touch on "ERROR LOG" to open the error log contents. The error log saves the following information: (i) Date and time when error occurred. (ii) Axis identification and error description. (iii) Error code. TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE (14) – Click or touch on "Troubleshooting guide" to open Troubleshooting manual to get help with cause and corrective action based on "error code". The error code can be read directly from the Error code line can be read from the error log screen. To find the information on the specific error code search for the code in the PDF.
