7 SpeedSet P R O D U C T M A N U A L EN The Alpine SpeedSet is a drop-in automated table system that gives truss manufacturers a quick way to generate a profile for building roof trusses. A single rail consists of two pucks, one of which is normally on the top of the truss and the second which is normally on the bottom. There are two motors that control the pucks, one on each end. The operator uses the SpeedSet system in to set up the profile of the truss on the table, thereby providing a quick and efficient setup. Table 3 System Overview Number (Refer to Figure 1) Item Description 1 Motor Assembly Motor and gearbox for each puck. 2 Chain Return Track Supports chain during return. 3 Main Track Assembly Holds pucks, gearboxes and chain returns together to the table surface. 4 Puck Bar Mounts puck and wear plastic to moving chain. 5 Chain Tension Bolt and Nut Used to maintain chain tension. 6 Encoder Tracks puck position. 2.
