30 SpeedSet P R O D U C T M A N U A L EN Appendix A – Computer System This machinery uses Linux-based solid-state touch screens for equipment control. The computer is connected to the plant Ethernet network either via cable or with an optional wireless module. Since the drive is mostly read-only, viruses and other malware cannot install themselves onto the computer. NOTE The following information is for IT staff only and is only needed during initial setup. Contact tech support for additional information. The control software is preloaded onto a VFAT partition located at the beginning of the drive. This is accessible by plugging the flash/USB module into any standard Windows computer.
