27 AutoMill SC Motion Control Upgrade P R O D U C T M A N U A L EN 6. Added Routine Maintenance NOTICE This section covers only the additional routine maintenance for the AutoMill SC Motion Control Upgrade. All the other routine maintenance for the AutoMill SC should still implemented with the AutoMill Motion Control Upgrade. ! WARNING Verify that all power to the machine has been turned off following OSHA-approved lockout/tagout procedures (OSHA REGULATION 29 CFR 1910.147). 6.1. Air Conditioners Maintenance and Adjustment Air conditioners require daily cleaning of the condenser air inlet filter. Remove the air conditioner filter and wash. Dry thoroughly before replacing. THERMAL EDGE Air Filter Treatment Spray in aerosol cans or spray bottle is recommended to enhance air filter efficiency. NOTICE Do not use solvents to clean the programmable thermostat. Wipe with mild soap and water. NOTICE Restriction to the flow of air over the condenser coil will degrade the performance of the cabinet, cause it to overheat, reduce cooling and can damage the compressor. The overload switch in the compressor may cause the compressor to cycle if the condensing coil pressure becomes too high due to air restriction. A further safety feature is the refrigerant high pressure cut off switch which will stop the compressor if the condensing pressure becomes too high due restricted condenser air flow or some other cause. When the AC unit breaks down or the cabinet overheats because the filter restricts the air flow, a warning message will pop up on the computer screen. Ignoring the warning and continuing to operate the saw will cause the high temperature switch to trip and that will cut the power to the control system in the cabinet that overheated - there will be no second warning. For the switch to reset, it must cool down to about 85F, but the thermostat on the AC unit is set at 95F. Cleaning the filter or replace the AC unit it won't be enough to cool the cabinet and allow the switch to reset. Follow the steps below to temporary change the thermostat setting on the AC Unit: Example 3: Typical ANGLE AXIS (Figure 44) Figure 44 1. Reboot Drive – Re start drive. 2. Indicate selected axis. 3. Jog Axis Counter Clockwise – Click the arrow to jog the axis counter clockwise (performed at the default or set jog speed). 4. Jog Axis Clockwise – Click the arrow to jog the axis clockwise (performed at the default or set jog speed). 5. Jog Axis Counter Clockwise Fast – Click the arrow to jog the axis counter clockwise (performed at full machine speed). 6. Jog Axis Clockwise Fast – Click the arrow to jog the axis clockwise (performed at full machine speed). 7. Move To – Click to open the Command Value Screen. 8. Calibrate – Click to calibrate the axis using the value entered on the Command Value Screen. 9. Saw Motors – Click to open the Saw Motor Dialogue Box. 10. Reset Fault – Reset axis or System Fault. 11. Enable/Disable Drive – Toggle Enable/Disable motor. 12. Home – Home current (individual) Axis. 13. EXIT – Click to exit and return to the Main.
