Respiratory protection shall be worn when operating this machine. ! WARNING Death or Serious Injury: Cutting overlength boards using the saw blade closest to the operator (Head 3) can result in serious injury or death. This operation shall not be performed. ! WARNING Slip and Fall: Greasing locations require the maintenance person to climb on the machine. Care needs to be taken when performing this operation. Bruising: Boards exiting the back of the machine. Employee(s) at back of the machine need to be aware and act accordingly. Cuts: Saw blades are sharp and heavy. Proper PPE must be worn when handling and installing. Harm hands and fingers: Hands and fingers can be caught behind the moving belts. Belts shall be off when cleaning and maintaining. Bodily harm: Carriage and conveyors can move automatically. They can knock down or crush a person. Employee(s) shall not to go behind the safety cable. Employee(s) shall be aware of machine movement and move out of the way accordingly. Back strain: Weight of lumber when loading, unloading and stacking may be heavier than one person can lift. Lifting assistance shall be used when the lumber weight is greater than 45 lbs. Harm to fingers or hand: Pop-up will activate if you place your hand over the board sensor. Keep hands away from outfeed arms to prevent harm. Bodily harm: Waste pieces can be thrown from saw blades. When cutting lumber, employee(s) shall stay behind the guards on the machine. Safety stickers: Never remove or paint over the system safety stickers. If a sticker is damaged, locate the sticker number on the parts list and order a replacement.
