Canadian 15.02.00 Release Notes
The Canadian version of 15.02.00 implements the required changes in order to comply with the
publication of the National Building Code of Canada, 2015 Edition. The new code will reference updated
versions of the following standards:
• CSA Standard O86-14 Engineering Design In Wood
• CSA Standard S347-14 Method of test for evaluation of truss plates used in lumber joints
• The Truss Plate Institute of Canada's Truss Design Procedures and Specifications for Light Metal
Plate Connected Wood Trusses, 2014 Edition
NBCC 2015:
Loading
The companion load factors for the 2LS and 3SL load cases have been increased from 0.50 in the NBCC
2010 Code to 1.00 in NBCC 2015.
This is Table 4.1.3.2.A taken from NBCC 2010.
This will be replaced by the table below, which is taken from NBCC 2015
These changes will also be reflected in updated versions of CSA O86-14 and TPIC'14.
