4 SmartView P R O D U C T M A N U A L EN Figure 1 – Truss Mode 2. SmartView User Interface 2.1. Truss Mode Truss Mode is the default screen showing the general information about the truss (Figure 1): Refer to Figure 1, from left to right: 1. Duration Timer: The timer displays the amount of time that the truss has taken to be built. The timer starts when a new truss is loaded and it resets when the quantity is changed or the next truss is loaded. The timer can be used as a motivation tool for production. The timer data can be logged to a .csv file. 2. Dimension Bar: This bar summarizes all critical dimensions for building a truss. 3. Truss Pitch: this dimension shows the pitch of the truss. 4. Board Labels: Board labels contain the name of the board (e.g. T1), and the grade of the board (e.g. #1/#2). They also contain the width of the board in parenthesis if it is different from 2x4. Example (6) would be a 2x6. 5. Plate Labels: Plate labels mark plate size (e.g. 5x5), and special strength if applicable, and have orientation marks for square plates. Red borders are shown on all plates that aren't centered on the joint. 6. Board Overall Lengths: This section contains a quick reference of the lumber's overall length. If something needs to be checked the length is a quick reference. Where "T" stands for Top Chord, "B" stands for Bottom Chord, and "W" stands for Web. 7. Title Bar: This bar shows the batch filename (e.g. J-019. TPS), truss name (e.g. A7), truss tag (e.g. T7), and the quantity of trusses remaining in the build (e.g. 6 left). 8. Web Bracing: The web bracing is shown as a green circle. This feature facilitates tagging the location of the bracing for truss installation. 9. Truss Dimensions: Truss dimensions are diagonal dimensions that are measured from the both heels of the truss to the joint location that is indicated by a colored dot. Internal joints inside a truss are ignored, for example in a structural gable. Blue dots are measured from the left heel and red dots are measured from the right heel. 10. Bearing: Bearing points are marked with a blue block.
