8 SmartView P R O D U C T M A N U A L EN 2.3. Board Mode Board Mode displays the boards that are used in the truss as well as their angles and lengths. This screen is useful for verifying information about a single problem board. To conserve screen space all boards that share the same outer profile are shown in one cell. For example, all gable studs share one cell with the different lengths noted (Figure 11): Refer to Figure 11, from left to right: Figure 11 – Board Mode 1. Board Title: Board title shows the names of all boards with this shape. The overall length is shown in parenthesis for all boards after the first. This section also lists the board grade and species. 2. Board Length: a. Overall (OL): Tip to tip measurement of board length. b. Centerline (CL): Measurement of length in the middle of the board. c. Long side. (LS): Longest side of the board. 3. Technical Dimensions: The angles and any non- centerline offsets are displayed.
