17 AutoSet C4 ™ P R O D U C T M A N U A L EN NOTE The calibrated puck will run through the homing procedure to calculate its home position. Step 5. Close the Maintenance and Tools Screen. Step 6. Exit and re-start the AutoSet C4 Software. Step 7. Home the system when prompted on software startup. Step 8. Verify that all pucks are between the scribe marks (Figure 28). Step 9. Click "Yes" on the popup screen displaying "Axis needs to be homed to complete process…" 6. Maintenance 6.1. Drive Chain Tensioning The drive chain is located under the drive chain cover. When properly tensioned there will be no more than ½" of slack in the chain. Step 1. Lock and tag out the electrical and air supply in accordance with OSHA procedures (i.e. OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147). Step 2. Remove the four bolts attaching the drive chain cover to the gantry head cover. Step 3. Remove the drive chain cover exposing the drive chain (Figure 29). Using a 1-1/2 inch wrench loosen the nuts located on each corner of the motor mounting plate (Figure 29). Step 5. Tighten the jam nuts 1/8 of a turn at a time until the chain has ½ inch of slack. 4.3. Liftout Operation ! WARNING Do not extend hands, arms, or any part of the body into the machine or table while the pucks are setting up, the gantry is moving, or the liftouts are activated. Failure to comply with this safety warning may result in serious injury or death. On AutoSet C4 systems the software will determine which liftouts raise for each setup. Figure 27 provides a visual example of which liftouts will raise for the pictured setup. Figure 27 5. Calibration Step 1. Click Tools on the Main Menu to open the Maintenance and Tools Screen (Figure 22). Step 2. Click Prepare for Calibration. Step 3. Use a ½" wrench to turn the acme rod (by hand) and move the puck between the scribe marks on the table (Figure 28). ! WARNING Do not use a power tool to turn the acme rod (Section 1.2.3).
