13 FloorMaster P R O D U C T M A N U A L EN Figure 13a – The Safety Scanner • There are two safety scanners on the FloorMaster, one on each side of the gantry. The safety scanners (Figure 13) detect anything sticking up more than ¾" (20mm) above the truss. If they detect an object: > The gantry will stop moving > An indicator on the scanner head illuminate > The red scanner warning light on the gantry electrical enclosure illuminates (Figure 13a) > The gantry, clamp, liftout, and flip-over controls are disabled. To re-enable the machine, the scanner reset button on the gantry electrical enclosure (Figure 13b) will have to be depressed, and then the reset button on one of the pendants activated. Figure 13b – The Gantry Electrical Enclosure • Beacon flashes and horn sounds when gantry is in motion. The red scanner warning light illuminates if either scanner detects an object in its path. (Figure 14a). • Barrier guards prevent access to the area just in front of the gantry roll where the scanners may not accurately detect objects. (Figure 14b).
