9 AutoSet C4 ™ P R O D U C T M A N U A L EN 2.5. Getting Data to the AutoSet C4 2.5.1. General Table setup information must be in the format of the specication for ASD les. All major truss engineering software can develop these les automatically. Contact the supplier for details. Alpine can supply the le specication for these les if necessary. 2.5.2. Network An Ethernet adapter card is provided with the computer inside the console. Alpine recommends connecting the network using a Cat 5 Ethernet cable. Except for its distance from the server, the table computer operates like other computers on the network. Distance can be an issue, Alpine recommends that the network cable is installed and connected by a network professional. If ASD les are being sent to the AutoSet C4 over a network connection, it is mandatory that the table computer be able to write to the ASD les on the network. This is how completed setups are recorded. However, the table will require certain network rights. If this is a problem for a network administrator, have them contact Alpine Equipment Technical Support for more information. It is also recommended that the table computer have internet access. This will allow for remote access by Alpine Equipment Technical Support for troubleshooting and diagnostic evaluation. 2.5.3. USB Device Sometimes called "jump drives" or "thumb drives", these devices are necessary if the computer is not connected to a network. The AutoSet C4 has a dustproof USB port mounted on the front panel of the operator's console for these devices, or any other USB device. The AutoSet C4 program communicates with these devices in the same manner as it would to a hard drive or network connection. 2.4. Table and Liftouts Standard AutoSet C4 table systems have 4 servo- controlled pucks per table (Section 2.4.1). They are located in every other slot on the table. The open slots contain manually adjusted pucks (Section 2.4.2). Liftouts are located between each table. They are painted yellow and feature skate wheels which allow the truss to transfer from the table to the conveyor when raised (Section 2.4.3). Conveyor rollers are setup next to the table. They are spaced six feet on center. Every other roller is powered to move the truss to the nish roller (Section 2.4.4). 2.4.1.
