If the roller stops spinning adjust it back to the point it spins. Then move to the next roller and continue the adjustment process. Step 4 – Adjust middle guide roller the same as above if needed. Tracking rollers Figure 170 NOTE The third roller is adjustable but should not need to be adjusted except for extreme cases. 5.7.2 Waste Conveyor Belt Tensioning Step 1 – Before adjusting check pulleys to ensure they are clear of debris Vacuum sawdust o the inside of the belt. Figure 168 ! WARNING NEVER PUT ANY PART OF YOUR BODY NEAR THE MOVING BELT. Step 2 – Run conveyor to determine which way the belt is tracking. Step 3 – Adjust bottom guide roller closest to machine. Think of tracking a belt like riding a bicycle—the forward roller is the handlebar. The belt will adjust according to the direction in which you move the forward roller. Travel direction Moving roller this direction will track belt this direction. Figure 169
