38 ALS 4.0 P R O D U C T M A N U A L EN 4.7 Calibrate Centerline (T1) Step 1 – Place a 2x4 board (dimensional lumber) across L1 & L2. Step 2 – Engage the L1 & L2 Pushers by pressing the "L1 Pusher In" and "L2 Pusher In" buttons on the Manual Control Screen. Step 6 – If the saw was equipped with a bevel axis, confirm B1 is at "0.0". Step 7 – Move A1 to 45° using the "Move A1" button on the Manual Control Screen. Figure 95 Step 18 – Open the door to the saw cabinet, shut down the computer, and then disconnect electricity and air supply. Step 19 – Lock and tag out the electrical and air supply in accordance with OSHA procedures (ie. OSHA 29 CFR 1910.147). Step 20 – The Figure below shows the bolts that mount the motor to the angle plate. If the saw is an "H" model, remove the B-axis cover plate to access the 4th motor mount bolt. If the saw is an "HB" model, rotate B1 until the 4th motor mount bolt is accessible (approximately 35°). It is not necessary to remove the B-axis cover plate or the B-axis over-travel stop. B-axis Cover Plate B-axis Over-Travel Stop Set Screws Motor Mount Bolts Figure 90 Step 21 – Loosen the bolts and use the set screws to move the motor one half the amount of the difference between the measurement taken and the required 15/32". Be careful to move the motor in the correct direction. With A1 at 90°, move the motor right if the Center of Rotation cut is too narrow and left if it is too wide. Step 22 – Tighten the motor mount bolts. Step 23 – Remove the lockout/tagout. Step 24 – Power on the ALS 4.0 and follow normal startup (Section 3.1) and homing procedures and repeat Steps 1-17.
