Figure 33 The values in Figure 33 allow adjustments for bevel cutting. Begin bevel cutting with all the values set to 0, and make adjustments only if the bevel centerlines and/or overall length of bevel pieces are not accurate. Always cut three or four like pieces before making a decision about the amount of adjustment. Warped lumber can significantly affect both centerlines and overall length of bevel pieces. ! CAUTION Be very careful when making adjustments to these values. It's easy to get confused with this process and enter a value that exceeds the software limitations of the bevel axis. Contact Alpine Equipment Customer Service at 1-800-521-9790 for assistance or additional explanation. 3.5.3 Manual Mode Options Figure 31 Figure 32 Sawyer Login – Checking this box will prompt a login before using the Saw Production Reporter. Office Mode – Checking this box will enable the program to function on a computer that is not connected to the saw. NOTE If this option is checked on the computer at the saw, it will not be able to cut lumber. This option is useful when truss designers are unsure if the cut falls within the capability of the saw. With Office Mode checked, they will be able to simulate the cutting setup on their computer. Metric Units – Checking this box enables the saw to receive information and to display in metric units. Idaco Angles – Checking this box enables the saw to receive and display angles using the Idaco convention where a square cut is 0°.
