NEWS RELEASE For additional Information, contact: John Mandel (224) 358-9449 jmandel@itwbcg.com ITW BUILDING COMPONENTS GROUP WILL OPEN NEW TRUSSTEEL ® PLANT IN PONTOTOC, MISSISSIPPI VERNON HILLS, Ill., June 24, 2014 – To better serve its North American customers, ITW Building Components Group, a business unit of Illinois Tool Works Inc. (NYSE: ITW), announced today that it will open a new TrusSteel ® roll forming plant and distribution center in Pontotoc, Mississippi. The 150,000-square-foot facility will begin operating in the fourth quarter of 2014 and initially employ about 10 people. The new plant will manufacture the chords and webs for the company's popular TrusSteel product line. TrusSteel is the non-residential construction industry's premier cold-formed steel truss system, offering unmatched strength, stiffness, design flexibility, and fire and insect resistance. The system is utilized in a wide range of applications ranging from light-commercial and institutional buildings to retail facilities, medical clinics and multifamily housing. "The TrusSteel system enables building component manufacturers to design and fabricate steel trusses more quickly, efficiently and economically than other alternatives," said Dave Dunbar, TrusSteel national sales manager.
