RAM EasyRider - Roof Truss Assembly System

April 13, 2011

The newest model in the line of Roll-A-Master roof truss fabrication systems, the RAM Easy Rider gantry rides along the top side of the table system, not on a track on the floor. The operator rides on a platform attached to the gantry that gives him complete control of gantry travel and lift outs. He simply steps from the platform onto the table to position the upper truss pieces and connectors. The assemblers remain on the floor. This distribution of workload keeps the process smooth, efficient and highly productive. As with the original RAM, you can select the jigging surface material best suited for your operation, wood, plastic, steel or combination. The roller height can be adjusted up to three inches to accommodate any of these surfaces. Lift outs and receivers take away the necessity of human handling of the finshed truss. Further customization can be accomplished with manual TrusSet, computerized AutoSet C jigging systems. You save on maintenance costs by the use of roller bearings that only need lubricating once a month. A new technology gear motor drive is used that reduces stress on critical components and the use of shafts that turn on tapered roller or ball bearings. Machine life is extended by eliminating brass or bronze bushings that wear out quickly.
